Link to a film about folk furniture

I got an email this morning with the following link in it. An absolutely charming film about furniture & people. Take 8 minutes & watch it. You’ll be glad you did.

  1. Thanks for sharing that, Peter, just wonderful.

For those that enjoy this sort of furniture and culture, you might be interested in “Irish Country Furniture” by Claudia Kinmonth. If I had to come up with a list of top 10 books, I would definitely put this one on it (although I see it has now become quite valuable as I got mine when it was still in print). It might be available at your local library.

    Take care,

  2. Best 8 minutes of my day so far. Except for that biscuit joint. The dressers remind me of a butternut bookcase my mom salvaged from an abandoned farm in northern Wisconsin.

  3. Another Sunday morning with the offerings of my friend Peter. Thank you for finding this wonderful short film, it was a joy to watch…twice.

    Regards, jay

  4. thank you peter for suggesting this….i smiled through the entire thing, with the wonderful countryside and homes and pieces and faces, the concept of what they were doing, the ingenious filming, and the voices and language brought a very warm feeling to me…gonna show paula tonight…thanks again, steve
